The bite of the car

So I got the first estimate on fixing the Mazda today -- $1000 -- and that's only if they don't find any addition damage. It needs a control arm, struts, sway bar links, a wheel, an alignment, and may need a spindle (?)
My son must have been going 40 miles an hour around that curve when he lost control of the car. He is lucky he isn't dead -- or someone else.

Currently, he isn't allowed to drive for 2 months. And I'm not sure yet about fixing the car. I have had it towed from where it is now to where my daughter's friend can deal with it. As they both said, I should have done that in the first place.
